As a girl playing boy’s football, basketball, and lacrosse, Jii-ana is crushing barriers in youth sports. With the support of her family and UPSWING’s help, she is able to train on scholarship and pursue her dream of becoming a pro athlete.
UPSWING Supports SEEN Program for Students in Foster Care
SEEN is a program that was started by a group of students at Overland High School who have experienced some form of trauma related to being in foster care. Through an action research project, they created a mentorship program for elementary school students who have also been in foster care.
