Athletics & Beyond is a local nonprofit organization that provides a safe place for young athletes to work on their skills while building community. They serve approximately 160 athletes each week, but face barriers with transportation for traveling teams. Three out of four adults playing sports also played as kids, and nowadays, there aren’t as many opportunities for youth sports. That’s what Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day hopes to change, and we need your help!
SEEN is a program that was started by a group of students at Overland High School who have experienced some form of trauma related to being in foster care. Through an action research project, they created a mentorship program for elementary school students who have also been in foster care.
