UPSWING takes on the Sparkler Softball Showcase

Coach Abby and our UPSWING Experience Team members brought UPSWING to the Sparkler Showcase last week!

Over the course of the four-day Sparkler Showcase softball tournament, staff members of UPSWING Foundation showed up in full force to connect with athletes and families, share our mission, and offer a hands-on look at what we do to support youth athletes.

Abby Marlow, UPSWING Outreach Coordinator and Performance Coach, led the charge alongside members of our UPSWING Experience Team, bringing high energy, expert insight, and an unwavering commitment to the performance growth of young athletes, both on and off the field.

Abby is a former Division I softball player and Head Softball Coach at Cherry Creek High School, so she brings a powerful blend of high-level athletic experience and a deep commitment to mentorship and our UPSWING mission. She believes that sports performance training develops the discipline, confidence, and physical foundations that are needed to succeed in any sport, and we are lucky to have her as a part of our UPSWING team, sharing this passion with young softball athletes!

Throughout this event, Abby and the UPSWING team set up a booth and tent where they had the opportunity to meet athletes, coaches, and families face-to-face and share our UPSWING story. Visitors to the booth had the chance to learn more about UPSWING, who we are, what our mission is, and how our programs support athlete development through sports performance training, dance, and recovery. Many athletes were introduced to the benefits of strength, speed, agility, and injury-prevention work, and learned how recovery tools can improve their performance and long-term health. Visitors even had the chance to to enter giveaways for free merchandise and sports performance training sessions at our Centennial facility.

The biggest hit of the week, we offered the opportunity to try out our Normatec recovery boots, one of our most popular recovery tools that athletes use in our facility. Whether athletes stopped by for a shirt, water, or to rest their legs, many walked away with a better understanding of how UPSWING can help them grow both as athletes and individuals.

Events like the Sparkler Showcase allow us to bring the UPSWING mission into the community, engage with young athletes, provide meaningful resources, and help families discover accessible, high-quality training and recovery opportunities.
