UPSWING Foundation has partnered with ten schools across Colorado to give 1,000 students the opportunity to participate in the UPSWING Leadership Academy program, powered by Janssen Sports Leadership. The program provides emerging and established student athletes an opportunity to develop the skills and confidence they need to become leaders now and into the future.
During the program, participants learn how to become more vocal, hold teammates accountable, manage team conflict, and set the tone for success on and off the field.
UPSWING introduced themselves to Lakewood High School’s future leaders by getting them set up with swag bags (complete with dry fit t-shirts), and then students completed their first module. Great things are sure to come as UPSWING continues their work, with nine more Colorado high schools on the docket to get set up for athletic success.
