Ryan Boosts His Strength with UPSWING

As an UPSWING scholarship athlete, Ryan boosts his strength through an intense weekly training regiment. Increasing his basketball skills, his goal is to get to the NBA, however long it takes.

With family from all over the world, Ryan moved to Colorado to pursue basketball and train with Accelerated Prep (AP), a premiere CO prep school, in hopes of attaining a D1 scholarship and eventually making the NBA.

As an UPSWING scholarship athlete he completes performance training at Kula Sports Performance in addition to his regular basketball training at AP. With an intense training schedule of 2-3 times per day, Ryan is adjusting to this next level of basketball with a focus on boosting his strength – he’s already gained eight pounds in his first two weeks of training.

With a strong bond to his fairly new teammates, he feels like he’s known them forever. “It’s fun playing with the people you like to hang out with all the time,” he said.

Between high-level training and travel to national tournaments on the weekends, Ryan has high expectations for a good year of basketball.
